The Lackawanna College Student Union Gymnasium is the home of Lackawanna Men’s and Women’s Basketball as well as Women’s Volleyball.  The Gymnasium is located at 500 Jefferson Avenue in Scranton and is the former Catholic Youth Center.  The gym just finished Phase 2 of a three phase renovation project on the historical landmark.  New lighting, bleachers, ventilation and a paint job have transformed an aging building into a state-of-the-art athletic facility.
Besides hosting Lackawanna athletic events, the gymnasium is used internally by the College for student activities such as Intramurals and Graduation.
The Student Union Gymnasium is also host to the historic Lynett Memorial Basketball Tournament and recently hosted the NJCAA Region XIX Basketball Championships.  The tournament will return in 2011.
The history of the old CYC brought many other forms of entertainment to the Scranton area including boxing, professional wrestling, concerts and semi-pro basketball.  More recently, the Student Union Gymnasium has hosted MMA events with more returning to the building this spring.
