The Steamers Roll Into the 2012 Season!!
The Steamers’ inaugural season will prove to be exciting and competitive, as the fans have already begun involvement in this new organization.
After the establishment of the new team, owners Stanley Blondek and Joe Runco opened up a “Name Your Team” competition to the surrounding community, known for their former power in the coal mining industry. The unique background of the city made the “Steamers” a perfect fit.
Scranton is an amazing town for basketball and sports in general. From community support for the collegiate sports, all the way to little league basketball, the PBL is confident Scranton will add great character and value to the PBL. Scranton is excited to be bringing such a positive program and league to the area.
During the upcoming season the Premier Basketball League will be broadcasting their games across America on @Sports Television Network.
